What is an NVQ?

The NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) is a work-based qualification that recognizes the skills and knowledge a person needs to perform a job effectively. NVQs are based on national occupational standards and are available in a wide range of sectors.

At OK4UK Academy, we offer a variety of NVQ levels ranging from Level 1 to Level 6, helping individuals develop, certify, and grow their professional careers in construction and safety industries.

Our qualifications are flexible, recognized by the industry, and tailored to meet your real-world work experience.

Construction

These NVQs validate skills in core construction roles such as carpentry, bricklaying, and general site operations. Aimed at workers with real-world construction experience.

Decorating

NVQs in decorating cover areas like painting and decorating, surface preparation, and finishing techniques. Ideal for professionals seeking certification in interior and exterior finishing.

Health & Safety

Designed for safety officers and site managers, NVQs in Health and Safety focus on risk assessment, legislation compliance, and safe work environments.

Management

NVQs in Management are for senior-level roles within construction, focusing on planning, project supervision, budgeting, and leadership development.

Assessment

Qualifications for current and aspiring vocational assessors.

How NVQ assessment works

Candidates normally build evidence from their work activities against the requirements of their chosen qualification. An assessor reviews that evidence and discusses the process, timescale and suitability with the candidate.

Course availability, eligibility, assessment requirements and any card application are confirmed separately for each learner.
